Here’s a re-cap of what
we went over on Thursday’s meeting:
- We celebrated National Library Workers Day with a
massive amount of bundt cakes from Nothing Bundt Cakes. They were very
tasty.
- Open Enrollment ends 4/13.
- Laurie sent out One Houston, One Library invitations to
all staff. If you are interested in attending one of the live
presentations, please let me and Alex know for the schedule.
- Saturdays after August 1st: Djuina mentioned
the possibility of staff working at extended hours locations in the
mornings and then reporting to their libraries by 12:45pm. There
will be a certain number of slots per location. If you are interested
in a particular location, you should speak up soon.
- Luis will be out from April 19th through May
5th. There will be no computer classes or open job labs while
he’s gone.
- Alex reminded us that if you’ve been giving special
help to a customer, let the next person who relieves you on the desk know.
- Customers from local shelters can only check out 3
items.
