Montrose Meeting Notes from 4/21/2016

 Here’s a re-cap of what we went over on Thursday’s meeting:

·         There is a new newspaper chart located on the upstairs desk. Please mark the newspapers received on this chart and the information will be inputted to the serials DB later.

·         Please don’t put old magazines back out in the new magazine area. Older magazines will have a “C” sticker on them. This designates that they are older and can be checked out.

·         We talked about rotating the task of logging in serials. Please contact Melissa if you are interested because it will involve a Plan change.

·         Please remember to close out of workflows when going off the desk.

·         Weeding is progressing nicely. Alex re-ran some CollectionHQ reports that showed a lot less  unnecessary materials in the collection.

·         We need to stop weeding for a few days to enable us to catch up on boxing.

·         Courtnie was chosen to attend the STEM Program training at JSC.  The intent was to get kids interested in science.

·         Courtnie held the first movie time at Montrose (0 attendees) and Looscan (20 attendees).

·         Melissa has contacted Gail Ibarra to come to Montrose to do serials training. She will try to confirm it for Friday, the 29^th.

·         Door count is the week of 4/25.

·         During our joint meeting with Looscan on May 2^nd we will have catering from Central Market.

·         Melissa will look in to the possibility of a site visit to the Gregory School.

·         Melissa will be working on end-of-April WPs.
