Montrose Meeting Notes - 6/21/2018

Here’s a re-cap of what we went over on Thursday’s meeting:

  • We once again signed the Memo on Absenteeism and Sick Leave Usage.
  • A reminder about the email that I sent out about Kronos, absences, missed punches. Excessive errors will result in a PID.
  • Please remember to complete the survey that Laurie sent out about which location you’d like to be at.
  • We will no longer be doing paper registration for library cards after June 30th.  Montrose will start doing this before that so that staff knows how to do it. People should be directed to a catalog computer to apply for a card.  We may set up a laptop that people can use to fill out the registration. At this time, people will still pick up their cards downstairs, since it can become too congested upstairs. There is no need to keep the sticking barcode from the card. All procedures are the same; just no paper.
  • Do not leave the desk when you are scheduled to be on it.
  • Do not take your 15 minute break when scheduled to be on the desk.
  • We are going to create extra Meescan signage similar to Looscans to help customers understand that they need to download the app first.
  • Our intern’s name is Zachary. He will be with us for 5 weeks. He has a list of tasks to do, but can help out where needed when he’s not busy.
  • Courtnie will be the backup person for the volunteers.
  • Please remember to put the carts behind the circ counter in order. Do not stack books. When the cart gets full, change it out for an empty one.
  • Alex is in the process of transferring documents from the blog on Onedrive.
  • Circulating books are being shelved in Reference. We’re not sure how this is happening. Please pay attention this problem.
  • Courtnie will be doing the daily schedule. Let her know if you have changes, or plan to be out.
  • Remember, that the default if you have nothing to do is to shelve.
  • Make sure everyone knows Beanstack. There’s a refresher video on the training portal.
