Here’s a re-cap of what we went over on Thursday’s meeting:
- Melissa has been working
on the Manager Boot Camp, which delayed the WPRS a bit. She will resume
working on WPRs and will have them done soon.
- Reminder: Staff may not
wear headphones while the branch is open. This is a safety hazard and poor
customer service. Headphones may be worn while the branch is closed; but
only in one ear. This is important for safety, and to enable staff to hear
phones or doorbells.
- Reminder: Staff should be contacting me via email regarding any discrepancies on their Kronos. Changes will not be made unless I receive something in writing. In addition, staff should be reading email and responding to KRONOS enquiries. Failure to do so could result in missed pay and will result in a performance improvement talk.
- Alex updated the blog to
group all things Incident related. There are links for everything needed
to handle incidents. She also added Robert’s (parking garage) number
because of the problems people had with the parking lot this week.
- All indications point to Texas Tamale Company not coming to get the Literacy in the Bag donations, their box, or their pallet. The next donation drive will be the Barbara Bush Foundation which will begin February 21st and end March 2nd. Last year, the Literacy Guild dropped off donation bins.
- Looscan will be a
polling location on Tuesday, March 6th. At this time,
Montrose has not been contacted to be a polling location.
- There is a new procedure
for ordering toner & ink. Go to the Intranet -> Divisions
-> Digital Strategies -> Ink & Toner Requests (on right hand
side under Equipment Requests).
- Hotspots are coming to
MNT, ROB, VIN & FRA soon.
- Looscan has a Meescan!
Other branches getting it soon are BLU, PAR & ROB (ALI, HEI, JUN, MNT
& YOU already have it).
- Envisionware is the
newest reservation system at HPL (not to be confused with iTeams, which is
newer than the one we’ve got). All branches with iTeams will get
Envisionware installed first because the license for iTeams is expiring
soon. It’s not known when MNT is getting Envisionware. Our
printer system will change when we do get upgraded. The new print
system will not involve print cards and will allow customers to use credit
cards, paper money, and change.
- Flyers can be requested
from the Print Shop via the new marketing request form on the Intranet
-> Divisions -> Communications -> Marketing & Promotion
Services Online Form (big button on right hand side of page). Other forms,
like holiday closure signs, can be found towards the bottom of the
Communications page.
- Leonore made a tax info
cheat sheet, which gives info for finding forms via the IRS, the addresses
and phone numbers for local IRS offices, and the locations within five
miles of Montrose where AARP will offer tax aide. We do not have tax
forms, but we can print for customers if the request is reasonable.
Use your best judgment.
- HOLDS – Several things
have recently slipped through incorrectly when processing HOLDS. Please
make sure they are processed correctly. Also, we should be putting an RFID
tag on things that come in for HOLDS. This enables people to use
self-check.
- KITS – Remember that all
KITS go back to CMH when returned so it can be replenished; even those
that have a HOLD. -> discharge to MNT-REFURB -> attach CMH
slip on tag -> put in bin.
- Courtnie –
- Winter Reading Program
was a success.
- Courtnie has booked the
acts for SRP.
- Several programs will
be on February 24th:
- 1:00 Drag Queen Story
Time
- 2:00 Teen Poetry
- 4:00 Frederick Douglas
play
- There is a push to have
Family Places at the branches, which will involve more family oriented
programming.
