Montrose Meeting Notes 1/10/2018

Here’s a re-cap of what we went over on Thursday’s meeting:

·         NBC Learn training is due by 2/28.  Please see Marianne Lorio’s email from 12/15 for the video download.  The sign-in sheet will be in the workroom downstairs.

·         Staff Development Week Classes. The list of classes that people took is no longer available. Everyone took the mandatory classes. If possible, let Melissa know what your two elective classes were so she can add them to your WPR. If you already put them in your monthly report, that is good.

·         Melissa is working on WPRs and will have them done before the end of the month.

·         Please remember that health assessment/biometrics information is due by 2/2/2018. You can logon to MyCigna.com. If it says 100%, then you are okay.

·         Changing passwords for computer cards is done at the reservation kiosk. The customer should select their own password. Changing passwords for regular library cards is done in Workflows. Changes to library card passwords requires a photo ID.

·         We are down to our last few HEB bags. These bags are for customers who check out books or buy book sale items.

·         Meeting room arrangement: the meeting room should be returned to a standard setup after use. Courtnie is going to create an image to put out for people to use as an example of how the room should be left.

·         Doris made cookies!!!

·         Melissa brought breakfast tacos!

·         There was a general discussion about how new employees are trained on new procedures. However, current employees don’t know about the changes until a new employee comes onboard. Also, not all branches have the latest technology or method being taught.

·         Courtnie –

o   Winter Reading Program is over January 13th.

o   Youth Services meeting will begin meeting on Thursday morning. This will be a problem for those who work late, and branches that have staff meetings on Thursdays.

o   Courtnie has begun booking acts for SRP.
