Montrose Meeting Notes from 9/15/2016

Here’s a re-cap of what we went over on Thursday’s meeting:

 

·         Fred Schumacher sent out an email regarding Learning Link. The accounts are in Workflows, however, students are not yet able to check out items. They will let us know when Learning Link launches.

·         Mary Wagoner sent an email regarding the Houston Housing Voucher Program. I will forward it because there are several who weren’t on her original distribution.  There is a training video that everyone should watch. The link is in her email. You should watch the video before September 19^th because the voucher program begins on the September 23^rd. You’ll get 30 minutes of training credit.

·         Montrose will be hosting the meeting for Djuina’s manager’s in Oct. Thanks for the suggestions for food. We’ll need to make sure everything looks nice for the day.

·         We’ll be finalizing carpool arrangements for the Staff Development Day which is on October 10^th.

·         We talked about ideas for the Staff Development Day team building activity. We took a group picture after the meeting.

·         Montrose will have a booth at the CMC Fall Festival. We have a lot of book marks that we can sell. We’ll talk more about decorating the booth  and who will go over the next week.

·         Tasha is our CMC Coordinator. She’s attended the training. If you have any questions about CMC, please talk to her.

·         Tasha will be going to Vinson to observe their Citizenship Class.  She and Melissa will be working together to develop a class for Montrose.

·         Alex created a monthly calendar for Montrose that shows all of our programs.

·         Tasha is coordinating National Voting Registration Day for Montrose. Currently, Montrose will have a voter registration volunteer on site on October 1^st from 10:00am to 2:00pm. She will also be requesting additional voter registration cars.

·         The Scream In will be held at Central on October 15^th. They need a lot of volunteers.  Let Courtney know if you’re interested so she can help coordinate it.

·         The Librofest will be held on October 1^st.  They also need volunteers.  Let Courtney know if you’re interested so she can help coordinate it.

·         There are new Flip Kit Passes and they will be valid until October 31^st.
